Market & Liquidity Risk Business Analyst

About the role

This contract position supports Market Risk and Liquidity Risk initiatives within a global investment banking environment. You will work closely with Risk, Treasury, Finance, Front Office and Technology teams to deliver regulatory, strategic and system change programmes. The role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in the London office.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business requirements from risk and finance stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements‑gathering sessions with Market Risk, Liquidity Risk, Treasury, Front Office, Finance and Technology teams.
• Act as the primary liaison between business and technology, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project objectives.
• Produce functional specifications, business process flows, data mappings, user stories and solution documentation.
• Support solution design, implementation, business adoption and change‑management activities.
• Perform impact assessments across risk systems, business processes, operating models and data flows.
• Conduct detailed data analysis across risk systems and reporting platforms to support regulatory and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with testing activities, including test planning, execution, defect management, UAT coordination and validation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Market Risk or Liquidity Risk functions.
• Experience working in a global investment banking or large financial institution.
• Ability to work Monday‑Friday, standard office hours with occasional out‑of‑hours requirements.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with cross‑functional stakeholders.

• Day rate starting from £700, dependent on experience.
