Market Street Manager – Fresh Food (E & W)

About the role

The Market Street Manager leads the Fresh Food area, ensuring high product availability, quality, and exceptional customer service across the store. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will inspire a team to deliver the Morrisons promise of good quality and great value every day.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and empower colleagues to put the customer first and deliver outstanding service.
• Maintain market‑leading product availability and freshness across the department.
• Manage people routines, including scheduling, absence, performance reviews, and talent development.
• Deliver training to build capability and confidence within the team.
• Identify and develop talent, building effective relationships with other store departments.
• Plan resources thoroughly and ensure the department meets all relevant performance targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience managing a team in a fast‑paced retail or service environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to share best practices.
• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Adaptability to change and willingness to challenge processes constructively.
• Commitment to listening to and responding effectively to customers and colleagues.
