Maths Teacher – Secondary School (Cambridge)

About the role

We are partnering with a thriving secondary school in North Cambridgeshire to recruit a dedicated Maths Teacher from September 2026. The role is full‑time and initially fixed‑term until December 2026, with the possibility of a permanent contract from January 2027 for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4, covering the full secondary mathematics curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide targeted feedback to improve numeracy, problem‑solving and reasoning skills.
• Collaborate with the mathematics department to maintain high teaching standards and share best practices.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment and support school‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but not essential.
• Experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge across the mathematics curriculum.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Passion for raising attainment and inspiring young people.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
