Mechanical Estimator – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Estimator with a Building Services background to join a fast‑growing MEP engineering firm. You will work on multi‑million‑pound projects across commercial, healthcare, education and other sectors, preparing estimates and managing tenders from enquiry through to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical estimates and manage tenders from enquiry to handover on projects up to £30 million.
• Produce detailed take‑offs from drawings, specifications and cost plans.
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Identify value‑engineering opportunities and commercial risks.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to secure major projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator in Building Services / MEP.
• Ability to produce accurate mechanical estimates and tender submissions.
• Familiarity with Trimble or similar estimating software.
• Willingness to commute to Manchester (commutable).
