Offshore Doctor – Mexico

About the role

The Offshore Doctor provides primary and emergency medical care to employees, contractors and subcontractor personnel at remote work sites such as drilling rigs and high‑density construction areas in Mexico. The role ensures medical readiness, responds to incidents, and supports health‑safety programs on‑site.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver urgent and emergency medical care to all workers on the client’s offshore sites.
• Perform accurate clinical assessments, examinations and maintain individual medical records using a computer‑based system.
• Report medical treatments in line with client requirements and coordinate patient transport to approved medical facilities.
• Ensure critical medical supplies and equipment are pre‑packed, maintained and ready for use.
• Participate in client‑organized simulation exercises and adhere to Remote Healthcare Provider (RHCP) and Recordable Case Management (RCM) guidelines.
• Act as the on‑site point of contact for emergency cases, communicating with client EHS and operations personnel.
• Maintain clinic readiness, conduct regular equipment checks and support health‑hygiene control processes.

Required profile

• Medical qualification with experience in emergency and primary care in remote or offshore environments.
• Ability to work independently, make rapid clinical decisions and manage patient evacuations.
• Familiarity with field Medical Emergency Response Plans and safety protocols.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with client EHS, operations and top‑side support teams.
