Part-Time Housing Officer – Bristol & South Gloucestershire

About the role
As a Housing Officer for Curo you will be the first point of contact for residents across a patch covering Bristol, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset. Working 18.5 hours per week on a hybrid basis, you will manage a caseload of 450‑650 customers, balancing field visits with office duties.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary relationship manager for your patch, building trust and keeping tenancies on track.
- Conduct tenancy audits, sign‑ups, viewings, mutual exchanges and fixed‑term renewals.
- Identify and address tenancy breaches early, balancing accountability with tenancy sustainability.
- Perform regular estate inspections, ensuring standards and communal services meet contractual obligations.
- Spot safeguarding concerns and make appropriate referrals in partnership with statutory agencies.
- Lead resident engagement and community development initiatives.
- Handle cases of harassment, hate incidents or tenancy fraud with specialist support.
- Signpost customers to assistance with money, employment, training and wellbeing.
Required profile
- Confident housing professional who enjoys community‑focused work and can manage their own time.
- Ability to have difficult conversations while preserving relationships.
- Experience in housing management, social housing or a comparable customer‑facing service role.
- Working knowledge of housing law and good practice, including handling breaches.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle.
