Part-Time HR Manager – Leeds (3 days/week)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work part‑time (three days a week) in our Leeds office. You will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to shape and deliver the people strategy for a medical‑equipment manufacturing business.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the company’s People Strategy, focusing on succession planning, talent retention, skills development and career progression.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and line managers to forecast resourcing needs, training requirements and future headcount.
  • Maintain and evolve the organisational structure and organogram to align with business strategy.
  • Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, contracts, offers and onboarding.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners and consultancies.
  • Support organisational change initiatives with guidance, communication and training.
  • Oversee training processes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and audit requirements.
  • Monitor and report HR metrics to senior leadership and the board.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook in line with legislation.
  • Facilitate performance review processes and support managers in performance management.
  • Ensure HR practices meet quality standards, company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.

Required profile

  • CIPD Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Previous HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems, preferably within an accredited manufacturing setting.
  • Experience with organisations holding British Standards accreditation.
  • Strong HR generalist background with ability to work strategically and operationally.
