About the role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work part‑time (three days a week) in our Leeds office. You will partner with the Senior Leadership Team to shape and deliver the people strategy for a medical‑equipment manufacturing business.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop the company’s People Strategy, focusing on succession planning, talent retention, skills development and career progression.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and line managers to forecast resourcing needs, training requirements and future headcount.
- Maintain and evolve the organisational structure and organogram to align with business strategy.
- Manage end‑to‑end recruitment: advertising, screening, interviewing, reference checks, contracts, offers and onboarding.
- Build relationships with external recruitment partners and consultancies.
- Support organisational change initiatives with guidance, communication and training.
- Oversee training processes, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and audit requirements.
- Monitor and report HR metrics to senior leadership and the board.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures and the employee handbook in line with legislation.
- Facilitate performance review processes and support managers in performance management.
- Ensure HR practices meet quality standards, company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
Required profile
- CIPD Level 4 qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous HR experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Understanding of ISO standards and quality management systems, preferably within an accredited manufacturing setting.
- Experience with organisations holding British Standards accreditation.
- Strong HR generalist background with ability to work strategically and operationally.
