Payroll Officer

About the role

Prestwick Aerosystems is seeking two Payroll Officers to join its Human Resources team. You will be responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and timely payroll for around 1,300 employees in a world‑class aerospace manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage payroll preparation, validation and processing to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Provide specialist guidance to managers and employees on payroll and workforce‑management processes.
• Review payroll data, reconciliations and calculations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Support payroll audits, system developments and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and legislation.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high‑quality service.

Required profile

• Experience using the Dayforce payroll and workforce‑management system.
• Proven track record processing payroll within a complex organisation.
• Knowledge of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis, reporting and reconciliation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
