About the role
Join Asda’s in‑store pharmacy team in Shoeburyness as a Pharmacy Colleague. This part‑time, permanent position offers flexible daytime shifts across 18 hours per week, with weekend work required.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and discuss personal health concerns with confidence.
- Accurately assemble and process prescriptions, ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Promote pharmacy services such as Prescription Collection, Medicines Use Reviews, blood pressure checks, and stop‑smoking schemes.
- Collect customers’ prescriptions from doctors’ surgeries and prepare them for store collection.
- Support the Pharmacist with record‑keeping and delivery of patient services.
- Complete an accredited Medicine Counter Assistant course within six months, followed by training as a Dispensing Assistant.
Required profile
- Friendly, highly organised and eager to contribute to a team.
- Strong attention to detail and good computer literacy.
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping people.
- Problem‑solving mindset and a desire to provide a great healthcare experience.
