Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement team in Leeds. Reporting to the Procurement Partner, you will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities across a wide range of categories, ensuring compliance, robust governance and strong commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support end‑to‑end procurement for strategic and tactical tenders.
• Deliver value for money through effective sourcing, negotiation and contract management.
• Provide market insight and supplier intelligence to support category strategies.
• Act as the primary point of contact for procurement enquiries and stakeholder support.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy, governance and regulatory requirements.
• Support supplier due diligence, performance monitoring and relationship management.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across processes and systems.

Required profile

• Strong experience in procurement, contract management and strategic sourcing.
• Solid understanding of procurement legislation and contract law.
• Experience working across multiple categories in a complex organisation.
• Excellent commercial, analytical and stakeholder management abilities.
• Confident communicator able to influence at all levels.
