Production Manufacturing Operative

About the role

As a Production Manufacturing Operative you will operate machinery and produce parts to the required standards, following ISO quality and cost requirements. The role involves working 12‑hour shift patterns in a manufacturing environment in Rainham.

Key responsibilities

• Produce parts at or above the defined rate for each part number according to the control plan.
• Perform testing methods such as Tropel Checks, Flatness Checks, Depth Checks, Visual Checks and Statistical Quality Control (SQC) to verify dimensions and physical properties.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including OEE dockets, work orders, timesheets, clean‑down dockets and Pareto records.
• Organise stock placement to avoid cross‑contamination of parts.
• Attend wheel dressing when required and assist with packing duties.
• Keep the work area well organised, clean and tidy at all times.
• Comply with Health & Safety legislation, Environmental Protection requirements and company rules.
• Follow quality systems and procedures consistently.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other staff.
• Support the Environmental Management System as defined in the EMS manual.
• Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by management.

Required profile

• Experience within a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong eye for quality and attention to detail.
• Computer literate.
• Self‑motivated, well presented, personable and adaptable.
