Project Manager – Automotive Projects

About the role

The Project Manager will lead cross‑functional automotive projects for WIPAC, ensuring that deliverables, objectives and KPIs are met while maintaining strong customer relationships. This role reports to the Senior Project Manager/Head of Programme Management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of assigned projects, from initiation to closure, using best‑practice project management techniques.
• Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver scope on time and in line with WIPAC’s Project Lifecycle Phase Exit Process.
• Track and report KPIs via the Project Dashboard.
• Maintain accurate project budgets, timing plans, and supplier visibility.
• Lead customer meetings, act as primary contact, and ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Chair internal project meetings, record minutes, and manage open‑point lists.
• Identify, report, and escalate project risks and changes according to company policies.
• Support pre‑production build phases and process equipment development.
• Mentor Project Engineers and contribute to the development of PM tools and processes.
• Present project status to senior management during monthly reviews.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an automotive company, preferably a 1st tier supplier.
• Degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Proven project management experience, ideally with a PRINCE2 qualification.
• Strong presentation, interpersonal, problem‑solving and negotiation skills.
• Initiative, ability to propose new ideas and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
