Project Quality Engineer

About the role

Boccard is expanding its Project Quality team in Bristol and seeks an experienced Project Quality Engineer to support the Project Quality Manager. You will help define quality standards, enforce strict assurance measures, and promote a Right First‑Time culture across all projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing, reviewing and maintaining project processes and standards.
• Promote a proactive Right First‑Time attitude to ensure flawless final deliveries.
• Conduct physical inspections of installation and manufacturing activities, verifying NDT, dimensional checks and quality records.
• Ensure strict adherence to procedures, operational workflows and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Create and manage KPIs covering safety, schedule, specifications, budget and customer satisfaction; prepare performance reports.
• Track and resolve quality actions, drive continuous improvement and eliminate repeat issues.
• Travel to supplier sites and active project locations to audit quality standards.
• Report quality topics to the Project Quality Manager and provide feedback to project teams and leadership.
• Deliver hands‑on training and guidelines to the project team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in a manufacturing or construction environment implementing quality programmes.
• Proven track record with Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 19443 standards.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and strong organisational/problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially expert‑level Excel for KPI management.
