Quality Controller

About the role

The Quality Controller will join a growing manufacturing business in Devon, reporting to the Operations Director. This position is central to the company's commitment to delivering products that meet the highest quality, safety and regulatory standards throughout the production lifecycle. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the business's growth journey by ensuring consistent product excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, components and finished goods to verify that they meet defined quality specifications and tolerances.
• Monitor production processes by conducting regular in‑process checks, sampling, and visual inspections to detect any deviations from standard operating procedures.
• Document and report any non‑conformities, providing clear evidence and supporting the investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and other cross‑functional teams to address quality issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of inspections, test results, and compliance documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest product quality standards.
• Able to work effectively under the direction of the Operations Director and within a collaborative team environment.
• Possesses clear communication skills for reporting findings and coordinating with other departments.
