Reception/Year 1 Classroom Teacher (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Classroom Teacher for Reception and Year 1 at Walton‑on‑Trent CofE Primary School, joining the John Taylor Multi‑Academy Trust from September 2026. The role is 13 hours per week, split between Thursday and Friday, and offers the chance to work in a vibrant Church of England community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons for Reception and Year 1 pupils.
• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND and monitor their progress.
• Maintain a nurturing behaviour‑management approach and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and the local community.
• Contribute to extra‑curricular clubs and the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a stimulating learning environment.
