Recoveries Lawyer – Property Risks & Coverage

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Recoveries Lawyer to join its Property Risks & Coverage team in Bristol. The role is claimant‑focused, handling household and commercial property recovery files across a range of perils such as fire, flood and product liability. Hybrid working is available and the team operates across Bolton and Bristol offices.

Key responsibilities

• Initial case review, funding assessment and triage of recovery prospects.
• Gathering and analysing evidence, conducting investigations with third parties.
• Instructing counsel and experts, preparing pre‑action and interim applications.
• Drafting letters of claim, claim forms and particulars for issue.
• Negotiating settlements, including drafting Part 36 offers.
• Attending conferences, trials and ADR sessions such as mediation.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 0‑3 years of claimant or defendant property litigation experience.
• Proven ability to manage a caseload of household and commercial recoveries.
• Experience handling claims ranging from £10 K to over £100 K is advantageous.
