Science Teacher – Secondary School (Full‑time, Permanent)

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified Science Teacher to join a mainstream secondary school in Newham, London, starting in September. The role involves delivering the KS3 and KS4 science curriculum to a diverse student body, supported by Learning Support Assistants.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
• Collaborate with the senior leadership team and science department specialists.
• Communicate regularly with parents and carers about student achievement.

Required profile

• Experience teaching science to KS3/KS4 students in the UK.
• A relevant science degree.
• Teaching qualification such as QTS or QTLS (preferred) or equivalent.
• Proactive, innovative and able to motivate learners.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
