About the role
We are looking for a caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive special‑educational‑needs school in Tilehurst as soon as possible. The role involves supporting pupils with a variety of needs such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, SEMH, learning and communication difficulties, and complex needs, working alongside experienced teachers and specialist staff. The successful candidate will help pupils develop confidence, independence and essential life skills while creating a safe, structured learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with additional needs.
- Supporting pupils with learning, communication and social development.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and important life skills.
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
- Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
- Compassionate and motivated individuals seeking to begin or develop a career in specialist education.
