About the role
Join a welcoming primary school in Thornton‑Cleveleys as a Teaching Assistant providing dedicated morning support for a Year 6 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition. The role is part‑time, mornings only, and focuses on fostering academic progress, emotional wellbeing and independence.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver one‑to‑one support to the Year 6 pupil, adapting lessons to meet their learning needs.
- Implement behaviour and independence strategies to promote positive outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SEN team and other staff to enhance the pupil’s learning experience.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment that benefits all pupils.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with autism or other additional needs.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Calm, patient and supportive approach to student interaction.
- Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of the child and integrate smoothly into the school setting.
