About the role
The Catapult is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead market expansion for UK space businesses within the Telecommunications and Digital Technology sector. Reporting to the Commercial and Partnerships Director, you will leverage the Catapult’s product portfolio to secure high‑value contracts and drive revenue growth aligned with the organisation’s mission objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Define and execute a sales plan for the Telecommunications and Digital Technology market, meeting annual revenue targets.
- Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with industry innovators, government departments and key stakeholders.
- Deliver high‑impact presentations, proposals and quotations tailored to customer requirements.
- Represent the Catapult at industry events and forums, typically spending 2‑3 days per week on customer visits.
- Provide market insights to shape sales opportunities and inform product development.
Required profile
- Proven experience in senior business development or sales roles within telecommunications, digital technology or related sectors.
- Strong network of contacts across the UK space and telecom ecosystems.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
