Senior Cloud Engineering Consultant (Azure)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cloud Engineering Consultant to join our dynamic and growing team. In this client‑facing role you will design, build and maintain robust, scalable cloud infrastructure for a diverse range of clients across the UK and EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and design best‑practice Azure solutions.
• Lead hands‑on implementation and deployment of cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).
• Architect and build foundational data services such as data lakes, warehouses and machine‑learning environments.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing and integration.
• Provide ongoing operational support and maintenance as part of managed services.
• Implement security, cost‑management and governance policies to ensure compliant, cost‑effective environments.

Required profile

• Proven commercial experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps or Cloud Consultant.
• Deep hands‑on knowledge of core Microsoft Azure services (VMs, Storage, Virtual Networks, RBAC, Management Groups, Azure SQL, Functions, Data Factory, AKS, etc.).
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or Bicep.
• Experience with scripting/automation in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills and a consultative mindset.
