Senior Construction Manager – Design & Construction (UK)

About the role

Join Amazon’s Design and Construction team as a Senior Construction Manager, leading complex infrastructure projects from concept through final delivery across the EMEA region. The position blends solution design, permitting strategy and on‑site construction execution, with up to 50 % travel to the UK and other European countries.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct large‑scale infrastructure projects, integrating design and construction strategies from inception to handover.
• Manage comprehensive permitting processes and oversee construction execution across multiple EMEA locations.
• Control project budgets, capital asset requests and financial reporting with rigorous accuracy.
• Develop and implement innovative best‑practice frameworks for pre‑construction and construction phases.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with authorities, contractors and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end large‑scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations in the relevant region.
• Demonstrated stakeholder and communication management abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
• Fluent English (C1) and proficiency in the local language.
