Senior Cost Consultant – Construction Cost Management

About the role

We are seeking a Chartered Senior Cost Consultant to join a fast‑growing, mid‑sized construction cost consultancy in central Manchester. The role offers a hybrid working model with 2‑3 days a week remote and provides a clear pathway to Associate Director level.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver robust pre‑ and post‑contract cost management and contract administration across residential, commercial, education and mixed‑use projects.
• Provide clients with accurate cost reporting, strategic procurement advice and act as a trusted advisor.
• Administer JCT contracts confidently and, where required, apply NEC contract knowledge.
• Work autonomously while mentoring junior surveyors and supporting their development.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and contribute to regional business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Chartered status (MRICS) preferred or progressing towards APC.
• Formal degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or an RICS‑accredited equivalent.
• Proven UK consultancy background (PQS) with solid pre‑ and post‑contract experience.
• Ambitious professional ready to step into a senior role and progress quickly.
