Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer at ENSEK, you will embed security into the DNA of our B2B SaaS platform that powers energy retailers. Working closely with Engineering, SRE, Risk and Product teams, you will ensure high‑velocity delivery while maintaining trust, resilience and compliance across a modern cloud‑native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and review secure architectures for cloud, container and service‑based solutions, including threat modelling and design reviews.
• Define and enforce secure configurations, network segmentation, identity and access controls for AWS environments.
• Implement secure coding practices, vulnerability management, secrets management and runtime protections for services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Build and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting for security events; lead incident response and post‑incident reviews.
• Support 24/7 incident management processes to ensure client stability.
• Automate security checks, policy enforcement and remediation using Infrastructure as Code and custom tooling.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal and InfoSec to embed controls that satisfy regulatory, privacy and contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience securing cloud‑native SaaS platforms, preferably in fast‑growing technology environments.
• Strong understanding of AWS security services and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience with container security, IaC, CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead threat‑modelling sessions and drive secure‑by‑design practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude toward risk reduction.
