Senior Planning Engineer – £75-85k + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning function on a £100m infrastructure project in Birmingham. You will work closely with delivery and commercial teams to ensure the programme is realistic, achievable, and fully compliant with NEC contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Provide progress analysis, risk management and strategic programme advice.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to align the schedule with commercial and delivery targets.
• Ensure all planning activities adhere to NEC contract standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Planning Engineer or Planning Engineer on highways, roads or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
