Site Trainer – MHE Instructor (Distribution Centre)

About the role

The Site Trainer will join the Savers Supply Chain team at Stead House Distribution Centre in Darlington. Working Monday to Friday, the role focuses on delivering and recording material handling equipment (MHE) training to ensure safe and efficient operations across the DC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic and refresher MHE training, including PPT, CBT, RT, VNA, MEWP and FLT battery changing.
• Train staff on the Fleet Management System (FMS) and ensure all training records comply with company policy.
• Support site inductions for both permanent and agency staff covering MHE and manual handling.
• Assist with risk assessments and safe systems of work, acting as a safety ambassador.
• Review and update training content to align with RTITB and IITSAR standards.
• Conduct regular behavioural safety audits and support on‑site training buddies.
