Staff Nurse – East Lothian

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Muirfield Nursing Home in Gullane, East Lothian. You will deliver professional clinical nursing care to residents and support the Home Manager in daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care to all residents, adhering to the NMC Code of conduct.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff and visitors.
• Supervise and support junior staff, offering guidance and leadership.
• Delegate daily workload in the Home Manager’s absence, ensuring efficient use of resources.
• Accurately record care plans and reports in line with company and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 months post‑graduate nursing experience in elderly care, or newly qualified nurses.
• Experience working with residents with dementia is desirable.
• Strong time‑management and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to communicate sensitively with staff, residents and families.
• Problem‑solving capability in a nursing home setting.
