Staff Nurse – Hospital at Home (Renfrewshire)

About the role

The Hospital at Home service in Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire is expanding to deliver acute‑level care to patients in their own homes. As a Staff Nurse you will join the multidisciplinary team based at Royal Alexandra Hospital, providing assessment, planning and delivery of care for frail adults with acute changes.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement individual care programmes for patients admitted to the virtual ward.
• Deliver acute interventions, medication administration and clinical monitoring in patients’ homes.
• Use clinical and environmental risk‑assessment tools to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Collaborate with the lead Advanced Nurse Practitioner and acute teams to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Document care activities and contribute to multidisciplinary handovers.
• Participate in the service’s expansion to 18 beds, working a shift pattern of 8 am‑8 pm, five days a week including public holidays.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC UK PIN.
• Eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car.
• Motivated, enthusiastic and able to work autonomously within a team.
• Willingness to work the specified shift pattern and respond to urgent clinical needs.
