Structural or Civil Engineer – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking a Structural or Civil Engineer to join our Manchester team, delivering engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial projects. The role combines site inspections, design work and client liaison, offering a clear pathway to develop technical expertise within a supportive consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out structural inspections and site surveys on a variety of properties.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications and detailed technical reports.
• Assess building defects and propose appropriate remedial solutions.
• Produce and review structural designs, ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Support projects from initial investigation through to completion.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, architects and other consultants.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Relevant UK industry experience in structural or civil engineering.
• Membership of, or progress towards, a professional body such as ICE or IStructE (Chartered Engineer status desirable).
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites.

Required skills
