Support Services Supervisor – Hotel Services

About the role

The Support Services Supervisor will lead the Hotel Services team at Easterhouse Health Centre, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality integrated services such as cleaning, catering, clothing, and porter duties. This part‑time permanent position reports to the line manager and works within the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde framework.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assist all integrated service activities, ensuring schedules and safe work systems are followed.
• Maintain high standards of personal and general food hygiene throughout the department.
• Report faults, manage equipment use, and ensure staff work safely and considerately.
• Provide performance counselling, organise staff rotas, arrange cover for absences, and support the Personal Development Plan process.
• Handle client complaints initially, conduct self‑assessments, and lead team briefings.
• Complete required paperwork within prescribed timescales and adhere to statutory and divisional procedures.
• Deliver induction and ongoing work‑based training, maintain stock levels, and support payroll compilation.

Required profile

• Knowledge of integrated service functions (training provided).
• Training in the use of relevant machinery (provided).
• Understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, lifting and handling procedures (training provided).
• Basic Food Hygiene certification.
