Telecom Field Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Telecom Field Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The role is remote but based in Glasgow, UK, and focuses on the installation, configuration and support of a range of telecom equipment and technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Install and support DC chargers, PDH, SDH, Comtel and microwave radio systems.
• Perform both DC and AC related tasks on site.
• Configure and maintain Cisco and Alcatel networking equipment.
• Provide LAN and WAN internetworking services and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Proven track record in installing and supporting telecom hardware such as DC chargers, PDH, SDH, Comtel and microwave radio.
• Experience working with both DC and AC power systems.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco and Alcatel products.
• Solid understanding of LAN and WAN internetworking concepts.
