About the role
We are looking for a Telecom Field Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The role is remote but based in Glasgow, UK, and focuses on the installation, configuration and support of a range of telecom equipment and technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Install and support DC chargers, PDH, SDH, Comtel and microwave radio systems.
- Perform both DC and AC related tasks on site.
- Configure and maintain Cisco and Alcatel networking equipment.
- Provide LAN and WAN internetworking services and troubleshooting.
Required profile
- Proven track record in installing and supporting telecom hardware such as DC chargers, PDH, SDH, Comtel and microwave radio.
- Experience working with both DC and AC power systems.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco and Alcatel products.
- Solid understanding of LAN and WAN internetworking concepts.
