Transport Enforcement & Investigations Manager

About the role

The Transport Enforcement & Investigations Manager leads a team of managers and officers within TfL's Central Investigations Team. You will ensure a high‑quality service that protects passengers, prevents crime and fare evasion, and supports safe, reliable journeys across the network.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Managers and Enforcement Officers.
• Oversee investigations, incident support and customer‑service initiatives.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and operational performance.
• Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, including trade unions and local boroughs.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert, delivering specialist investigative advice.
• Contribute to operational improvements and professionalisation of the function.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading teams within transport, security or enforcement environments.
• Strong understanding of public safety, crime prevention and fare evasion issues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change.
