About the role
The Unified Communications Engineer will deliver high‑quality maintenance and support for a growing customer base. The role blends desk‑based duties with field work, providing 1st, 2nd and 3rd line technical assistance across telephony, networking and mobile data solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Install, commission and train end users on iPECS Cloud telephony and on‑premises PBX systems.
- Deploy and configure 4G/5G mobile data solutions, including Teltonika cellular routers.
- Design, install and troubleshoot enterprise Wi‑Fi using Ubiquiti UniFi and TP‑Link Omada hardware.
- Perform physical installation and cable management of on‑site communications cabinets.
- Configure and support Miradore Mobile Device Management for client fleets.
- Diagnose and repair unified communications systems remotely and on‑site, adhering to SLA targets.
- Install, test and maintain CAT5/CAT6 structured wiring networks.
- Conduct site surveys for communications, networking hardware and cabling requirements.
- Plan, design and implement voicemail, auto‑attendant, IVR, call recording and call management applications.
- Maintain stock of spare components, produce reports and ensure SLA compliance.
- Collaborate daily with the Project Co‑ordinator using ClickUp for project tracking.
Required profile
- Excellent customer‑facing communication skills and a strong service ethos.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and a valid driving licence.
- Interest in evolving IT and telecommunications technologies.
- Reliability in attendance, punctuality and professional appearance.
- Ability to work effectively within a small team environment.
Required skills
- iPECS Cloud and on‑premises PBX platforms.

- Structured wiring (CAT5/CAT6) installation and troubleshooting.
