About the role
We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a non‑verbal pupil in an EYFS classroom located in the A6 Corridor, Lancashire. The role starts on 1 September and runs for the full academic year, offering consistent full‑time hours.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support to the assigned EYFS pupil throughout the school day.
- Assist with communication, learning activities and social development.
- Carry out personal care tasks such as toileting and hygiene as required.
- Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individualized support strategies.
- Encourage the pupil’s participation in classroom routines and activities.
- Record observations and provide feedback on progress when needed.
Required profile
- Experience working with children in an EYFS or primary setting.
- Patient, compassionate and resilient attitude.
- Confidence supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities.
