12-Month Reporting Accountant Internship

About the role

This 12‑month internship offers a hands‑on experience in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and budgeting within a dynamic banking environment. You will support both internal and external reporting functions while collaborating with teams in London and Paris.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and control monthly financial statements and detailed cost analyses.
• Prepare ad‑hoc analytical reports for senior management.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors as required.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns for the Bank of England, FCA and PRA.
• Calculate capital adequacy and tax figures, coordinating with external advisers.
• Support IT platform and accounting projects for the branch.
• Maintain and update procedures, ensuring controls are documented and escalated when necessary.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 18 months) with a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 0‑2 years of experience in accounting, financial control or reporting (preferred).
• Detail‑oriented, organised, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical mindset and a collaborative team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access (advantageous).
• Familiarity with financial instruments and reporting concepts.
