Academic Coordinator – Higher Education

About the role

The Academic Coordinator will support the delivery of undergraduate programmes at the London Academy for Applied Technology, ensuring smooth academic operations and a high‑quality student experience. Reporting to the Programme Lead, the role works closely with module leads, faculty and support staff to coordinate scheduling, resources and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day administration of programmes, coordinate class schedules and organise inductions for students and staff.
• Manage teaching and assessment materials, ensuring up‑to‑date content on the LMS and shared drives.
• Monitor teaching progress and assignment timelines, producing reports on grading delays or class cancellations and recommending solutions.
• Support faculty onboarding, maintain contact lists, facilitate meetings and assist professional development initiatives.
• Maintain accurate academic records, attendance and progression data, and generate regular dashboards for monitoring and decision‑making.
• Serve as first point of contact for student academic enquiries, track engagement metrics and coordinate interventions to improve retention.
• Assist with quality‑assurance and compliance activities, preparing documentation for audits, academic boards and partnership reporting.
• Support partnership administration by maintaining enrolment and progress data and producing monthly reports for leadership.
