Account Director – Defence & National Security

About the role

SiXworks is seeking an Account Director to lead growth within the Ministry of Defence and related national security customers. You will join a seasoned team delivering secure digital solutions that protect critical missions.

Key responsibilities

• Leverage and expand your network in the Ministry of Defence to uncover strategic opportunities.
• Engage regularly with MOD stakeholders and forums to understand emerging digital requirements.
• Identify, develop and convert business opportunities across existing and new SiXworks accounts.
• Support sustained revenue growth and meet agreed business targets.
• Champion innovative product and service delivery approaches aligned with SiXworks’ excellence standards.
• Maintain high‑value, trusted relationships with key sector stakeholders and clients.
• Provide organised, flexible support to leadership and management functions.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with defence or national security customers.
• Strong network within the Ministry of Defence.
• Ability to think critically, take ownership and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Curiosity and a drive to continuously improve technology design and delivery.

Required skills

• Understanding of secure‑by‑design architecture and cloud technologies.
• Experience with digital experimentation and rapid application development.
