Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager in Farnborough supports the Store Manager in running the store and delivering strong customer experiences. The role involves leading the team on the shop floor, helping drive performance and sales targets, and upholding high standards. It calls for effective leadership, strong commercial awareness and the ability to support and develop colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocate tasks, support service delivery and maintain company standards.
• Assist with coaching and development, giving real-time feedback and reinforcing the Store Manager's expectations.
• Maintain presentation and operational standards: availability, pricing accuracy, tidy displays and a safe environment.
• Carry out core operational duties such as cash handling support, till checks, delivery processing, stock audits and opening/closing routines, escalating issues appropriately.

Required profile

• Previous retail management or supervisory experience, such as Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor.
• Experience supporting sales performance and contributing to KPI achievement in a retail setting.
• Desirable: passion for retail and products, a solutions-driven approach, resilience under pressure and a customer-centric attitude.
