Account Handler – North American Property & Delegated Authority

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Account Handler to join our North American Special Risks team in London. You will support the placement and administration of Binding Authority business, working closely with brokers, insurers and coverholders to deliver high‑quality client service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process Binding Authority Agreements (BAAs) and related endorsements.
• Liaise with coverholders and insurers to obtain agreement and ensure accurate documentation.
• Maintain broker system records, validate compliance and calculate profit commissions where applicable.
• Support brokers in binding and issuing policies under delegated underwriting authorities.
• Produce and monitor monthly risk data, exposure reports and aggregate information.
• Work with operational teams to ensure prompt premium processing and settlement.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting and operational processes.

Required profile

• Previous experience in the London Market, preferably supporting North American Property or Delegated Authority business.
• Strong understanding of Lloyd's and Company Market processes.
• Knowledge of Binding Authorities, coverholders and delegated authority administration.
• Experience with US Property risks and regulatory requirements is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational accuracy and attention to detail.
• CII qualification (or working towards) is a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
