Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking a driven Account Manager to join our busy sales team in Poole. In this office‑based position you will nurture existing client relationships, identify growth opportunities and help increase profitability for a range of products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Make proactive outbound calls to existing and prospective customers.
• Respond to enquiries via phone and email within agreed timeframes.
• Arrange appointments for Business Development Managers and keep CRM records up to date.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations to maximise conversions.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with customers and act as their primary point of contact.
• Analyse accounts to spot growth opportunities and improve profitability.
• Promote existing and new product ranges, manage feedback and resolve complaints.
• Conduct regular account reviews and provide detailed insights using CRM and business systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, Procurement and Operations to ensure excellent service delivery.

Required profile

• Previous experience in account management, internal sales, customer success or business development.
• Proven B2B and/or B2C sales experience, confident selling over the phone and via virtual meetings.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and negotiation abilities.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to analyse data and identify opportunities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, proactive and passionate about delivering great customer service.
