Accountant & Business Advisor – 4-Day Week & Equity Potential

About the role

Join a modern boutique practice in Greater Manchester as an Accountant and Business Advisor. You will own a portfolio of owner‑managed and limited‑company clients, providing both compliance and strategic advice while working a four‑day week.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of limited company clients from year‑end accounts through to filing.
• Review corporation tax and personal tax returns, identify and correct issues.
• Handle client tax queries and deliver clear, practical advice in meetings.
• Prepare management accounts and explain financial performance to clients.
• Deliver business advisory work that supports client growth.
• Review work prepared by the offshore support team to maintain high standards.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualified (or finalist) and trained in UK practice.
• Strong grounding in corporate and personal tax with confidence reviewing returns.
• Good working knowledge of VAT.
• Experience preparing and analysing management accounts.
• Commercially minded with a desire to help clients improve performance.
