Accounts & Audit Senior

About the role

We are seeking an ACA/ACCA qualified (or finalist) Accounts & Audit Senior to join a fast‑growing Top 35 accountancy practice. The role is hybrid, offering flexible hours around core times and the chance to work with a diverse client portfolio while developing technical, commercial and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and management accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies (≈80% of time).
• Participate in audit cycles and support audit engagements (≈20% of time).
• Prepare and review corporation tax computations.
• Manage client assignments from planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budgets.
• Build long‑term client relationships and deliver excellent service.
• Utilise cloud‑based accounting software such as Xero, Sage and other industry‑leading systems.
• Supervise, mentor and support junior team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on complex assignments.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified or finalist.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of business entities.
• Strong communication, client‑relationship and organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Desire for continuous personal and professional development.
