Accounts Manager – Senior Accountant

About the role

We are partnering with a forward‑thinking accountancy practice to hire an Accounts Manager / Senior Accountant. Reporting to a Senior Manager, you will deliver high‑quality accountancy and business advisory services while leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing statutory and management accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Deliver business advisory services, identify value‑adding opportunities, and prepare forecasts and projections with senior support.
• Maintain strong client relationships, communicate with HMRC, and liaise with external advisers.
• Line‑manage Accountants, Trainee Accountants and Accounts Assistants, providing technical guidance and performance reviews.
• Oversee compliance requirements, support VAT queries, and contribute to client onboarding and internal coordination.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and profitability.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent).
• Strong practice experience producing and reviewing statutory and management accounts.
• Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members.
• Commercially minded with interest in business advisory.
• Excellent communication skills and highly organised.
