Accounts Payable Manager – Hybrid, Long‑Term Contract

About the role

An experienced Accounts Payable Manager is needed to lead the AP function for a medium‑large, values‑led organisation undergoing transformation. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will ensure efficient, high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end accounts payable process, ensuring compliance with policies.
• Oversee cash and banking activities, including cash‑flow forecasting and bank reconciliations.
• Process invoices and payments accurately and on time, meeting strict deadlines.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships, resolving payment discrepancies.
• Monitor and enhance AP processes and systems.
• Train and develop the AP team, meeting KPIs and fostering collaboration.
• Provide accurate reporting and reconciliation of AP data.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve financial efficiency.
• Support audits and ensure adherence to financial regulations.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting or finance, specifically in accounts payable management.
• Experience in cash management or treasury functions.
• Proven ability to lead a transactional finance team.
• Experience in shared services environments is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using financial systems.
