Accounts Senior / Semi‑Senior

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join a top‑100 accountancy firm in Banbury. You will work with a diverse SME client base, delivering high‑quality accounting and tax services while enjoying flexible working arrangements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare client accounts and corporation/personal tax returns.
• Liaise with clients to gather information, ensuring accuracy and meeting HMRC deadlines.
• Assist partners and managers with tax planning and identify optimisation opportunities.
• Produce reports, computations and coordinate with other professional advisers.
• Support trainees through on‑the‑job coaching.
• Perform bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier management and management accounts as required.

Required profile

• Working towards or holding an ACCA or ACA qualification.
• Prior practice experience in an accountancy firm.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive client communication.
