About the role
We are seeking a client‑focused Administrative Assistant to join our York office. You will provide professional, helpful, and friendly support to our property fee earners and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
Key responsibilities
- Open new client files and enter instructions into the Case Management system.
- Produce letters and documents, file, bill, fax, photocopy, sort post and archive materials.
- Maintain and update case records as matters progress.
- Answer telephone enquiries and manage office post.
- Maintain diaries, schedule appointments and perform general office administration.
- Contribute to a safe, healthy workplace and improve office procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as required by the firm.
Required profile
- Positive, can‑do attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communication, both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Team player who can also work independently and take initiative.
- Commitment to confidentiality and promoting the firm’s image.
Required skills
- Strong spoken and written communication.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good IT literacy and ability to handle customer enquiries effectively.
