After School GCSE Tutor – Maths & English (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified teacher to provide after‑school tuition for GCSE‑level Maths and English. The role is part‑time and flexible, allowing you to fit sessions around your existing commitments while helping students achieve their exam targets.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons in Maths and/or English up to GCSE level.
• Plan and tailor individual lessons to meet each pupil’s learning needs, including those with additional learning requirements.
• Monitor student progress, set realistic targets and give constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, motivating learning environment that encourages confidence and improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Proven experience teaching GCSE Maths and/or English in a secondary setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to adapt teaching approaches.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
