AI & Automation Specialist

About the role

Checkout.com's Process Architecture pillar designs how operations should work, and this role turns those designs into reality. You will use modern AI‑assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code and n8n to prototype and ship internal tools that automate manual effort for high‑volume teams like Disputes, Due Diligence and Transaction Monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI‑assisted prototypes with tools like Cursor, Claude Code or Copilot and deliver functional tools for operational teams quickly.
• Build end‑to‑end workflow automations that connect case‑management systems, document stores, APIs and LLMs.
• Create analyst‑facing interfaces, triage tools and summary generators using Retool or similar lightweight UI frameworks.
• Apply LLMs for classification, case summarisation, structured extraction and decision support to reduce cognitive load.
• Embed with Disputes, CDD, Periodic Review and Transaction Monitoring teams to understand real analyst workflows and translate pain points into shipped tools within days.
• Iterate rapidly, instrument usage, capture feedback and measure time saved or quality improvements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience building real tools with Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot or similar AI‑assisted development environments.
• Proficiency in Python (or ability to become proficient quickly) and comfortable working with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with at least one LLM API, including prompt engineering and handling structured output.
• Bias toward shipping early versions to users rather than waiting for a polished release.
• Curious mindset with a desire to understand how systems work under the hood.
